Generating Storage Period Reports

Viewing Expiring Products

Go to Analytics → Storage Period report.

Select the timeframe for upcoming expirations.

Managing Expired Stock

  • šŸ”¹Write-Off: Products past their expiry date should be written off via Operations → Write-Off. This permanently removes expired inventory from stock records.
  • šŸ”¹Purchase Return: If expired products are eligible for return to the supplier, initiate a return process via Operations → Purchase Return. Select the relevant items, indicate the reason for return (e.g., expired), and generate the return document to proceed with supplier coordination.

Clearance or Promotions: If applicable, transfer expiring stock to clearance sales or promotional campaigns to minimize losses before expiry.

Best Practices

āœ… Regularly review storage reports to minimize expired inventory.

āœ… Set realistic storage periods based on supplier guidelines.
